Zone 1 and Zone 2 rated ATEX Certified Smartphone from ECOM
The new Smart-EX 01 rugged and tough phone for ATEX Zone 1 has been developed from the ground up with impeccable levels of safety features. The ECOM Smart-EX 01 features a 4.0” capacitive multi-touch display, Android 4.4 operating system, IP68 water and dust proofing along with drop resistance.
With an ultra-rugged design, the Smart-Ex 01 features an intrinsically safe design with built-in wireless communications such as an unlocked SIM slot for OTA calls and 4G LTE, NFC functionality, Bluetooth 4.0 and WIFI a/b/g/n. All these features are important where a device can have no removable parts including USB peripherals due to environment safety factors and that’s where the Smart-EX 01 excels.
The Smart-EX 01’s safety features are dedicated for the safety of your employees, with the Lone Worker Protection (LWP) the ATEX Zone 1 smartphone features programmable 3D motions sensors for sensing inclination, impact, escape and lack of movement. Once set-up to detect any of these states the Smart-EX 01 will trigger an alarm. The phone also features a dead man’s switch and a dedicated hardware button (if set ON) for deliberately triggered alarms. The alarms can be sent over the phone network, local WiFi, 4G LTE or via the devices loud audible inbuilt alarm.

Dedicated accessories are available for the Smart-Ex 01 and include cases, wireless ear defenders with built-in Bluetooth headsets, vehicle chargers, belt holsters & clips for hands free operation plus smart applications to enhance usage and productivity when out in the field. Desktop chargers are also available to charge the unit when outside the ATEX Zone, ready for the next day.
